    Balotelli-Cassano Swap Deal Is A No-Go

The Nerazzurri’s scheme to capture Talentino is likely to fall flat, as Super Mario has turned down Samp and wants a move to Bologna.

There were reports earlier in the week that Inter were considering a sensational bid to capture Antonio Cassano on loan, involving the forward as part of a swap deal that would include teenage striker Mario Balotelli.

The Nerazzurri were hoping to pave the way for a permanent move next summer and pip Juventus to the signature of Fantantonio.

But the ex-Roma and Real Madrid ace has stressed his desire to stay put until the end of the season and, in turn, Balotelli has put his foot down and made it known that he would only accept a transfer to Bologna to reunite with ex-Inter assistant manager Sinisa Mihajlovic.

“Mario is happy with the interest showed in him by several clubs, but he is not keen on joining Sampdoria,” Balotelli’s brother and agent Corrado revealed yesterday.

Inter chief Massimo Moratti is expected to meet with the Under-21 star’s representatives this morning to resolve the impasse, but the Corriere dello Sport claims this morning that the Nerazzurri might still revive the negotiations with the Ligurians over the next few days, using wayward hitman Adriano as a bargaining chip.
