Kroos Isn't Going Anywhere, Insist Bayern

Bayern Munich coach Jurgen Klinsmann is adamant that reports suggesting that highly promising youngster Toni Kroos will be leaving the club due to lack of playing time are off the mark...

The German media have been speculating for quite some time already that the 18-year-old midfielder is increasingly prepared to force a move in order to quicken his development as a player.

Klinsmann, however, has poured cold water on the reports and urged the youngster to prove his mettle.

"We have decided that Toni will be staying at FC Bayern," declared Klinsmann, speaking from the German champion's training camp in Dubai.

"We are also of the opinion that Toni has made progress this season so far even though he hasn't had much chance to play."

"He must learn to assert himself and cope with the situation that there are other players who are ahead of him in the pecking order."

Kroos. whose contract with Bayern runs until 2012, has made just two starts this season, with three additional substitute appearances.
