Klinsmann Warns Against Bayern False Start

Bayern Munich trainer Jürgen Klinsmann has warned his side as to the importance of not making a false start when the season starts again in two weeks.

The reigning Bundesliga champions made their worst start to a league campaign in over 30 years this season.

The Bavarians were as low as 11th after winning just two of their opening seven games and suffering consecutive defeats to Werder Bremen and Hannover.

They did however recover to finish second behind Hoffenheim going into the winter break with just goal difference separating them.

Klinsmann has urged the team not to make a similar start when the Bundesliga resumes on 30th January with their trip to face Hamburg.

"We have to make sure we make the optimal start to the second half of the season," he stressed in an interview with SportBild.

"If we do that and then keep it going until the end of May, then Bayern will be in the hunt for the title," he added.

"We have to be fitter than every other side, because against Bayern the other teams automatically play to their limits."
